"...a gem of an EP, his voice has purity which recalls early Paul Brady." - Irish Music Magazine

"...a wonderful guitarist..." - Fiachna Ó Braonáin,  RTÉ Radio One

"Ewan is a musical polymath." - Paul Herriott, RTÉ Lyric FM

Marrying a Knopfleresque melodic touch with a lyrical ability and guitar talent akin to James Taylor and Paul Brady, Irish musician and producer Ewan Cowley steps into the solo artist’s spotlight with The Elevated Life, his debut solo EP.

Comprising new songs and instrumentals, the collection showcases a maturity of writing informed by his illustrious career to date as a diversely talented multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer with a background in Irish Traditional and classical music.

He has worked with Dónal Lunny, Hayley Westenra, Celtic Woman, Tommy Fleming, Moya Brennan and many more artists, including Lisa Lambe who appears as a guest vocalist on this EP on the 2016 RTÉ Radio playlisted single “The Thorns From Your Heart”.  In 2017 he composed the score for the film 'Kubrick By Candlelight' by David O'Reilly and has composed for Irish theatre.  As an arranger Ewan has written for the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, The Orchestra Of Ireland and many ensembles, bands and solo artists.  Ewan also guided top Irish band The High Kings through their first years of success.

In 2016 he produced and performed on an EP of duets with Dublin born singer Edel Murphy titled 'Bluebonnet Spring'.

The Elevated Life, produced by Ewan Cowley & Dave McCune is out now via BandcampiTunes and Spotify.
